ICC Champions Trophy made its way to semi-finals and the first match was played between India and Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 4,2025. Australia decided to bat first but India won the battle by 4 wickets.
Australia secured 264 runs but could not won the match. In 264 runs Steve Smith contributed 73 runs and Alex Carey added 61 runs but Indian player Virat kohli played very well his performance was outstanding he secured 84 runs and let his team win the match and still remained 11 balls.
The Second Semi-final is played between New Zealand and South Africa. This semi final was held on March 5,2025 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
In the second semi-final New Zealand gave a big difficult target to South Africa of 362 runs. In this big score Rachin Ravindra made a century and Kane Williamson scored 102 runs. This impressive score made the brilliant total.
The starting of South Asia team was not so good from the start Rassie van der Dussen and Temba Bavuma did their best to hit the level but they could not perform well to get necessary runs.
On the other hand ,the bowlers from New Zealand team were very good they took important wickets in no time and put pressure on South Africa team.
South Africa made only 193 runs for 5 wickets and made the path of New Zealand team clear. The team of New Zealand won the match with full colors and made its place in the finals with India.
The final will now be played between India and the New Zealand team. Both the teams are brilliant and played very well in the semi-final. It will be very difficult for both teams to chase each other in the final.
The final is going to happen on March 9,2025 at Dubai International Stadium. Its going to be a very exciting end of ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
