Pakistan has been on a losing streak in test matches and given their weak performances, management decided to drop Babar Azam, Shaheen and Naseem Shaheen in the test against England. Surprisingly, Pakistan won the series.

It was expected that Baber might improve his performance after the burden of captaincy has been lifted. But there seemed to be no change. However, In the series against South Africa, Pakistan has tremendously won  by 3-0.

Babar Azam’s form in these ODI matches was promising with 2 centuries scored in 3 ODIs. He was also included in the test team but wasn’t able to perform in the first inning of the first match.

Although Babar is a very sound player and a former cricketing legend, Ricky Ponting commented that Babar should follow in Virat Kohli’s footsteps in regaining his form.

Babar is talented, if things went well for him in future he might end up as one of the greatest batsmen Pakistan has ever produced.

This ongoing series is yet to unfold and all the Pakistani cricket fans hope to see Babar regain his form and start winning matches for Pakistan once again.

Babar Azam’s average in South Africa has been around 32 but it doesn’t change the fact that he is a very talented batsman and can turn out to be a very dangerous batsmen in test cricket against any side.
